In loving memory of Wilma “Willie” J. Meehan
Wilma “Willie” J. Meehan, nee Muse, aged 94, passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2024. Born on February 24, 1929, in Delmar, Kentucky, she was the cherished daughter of the late Oscar and Versie Muse.
A graduate of St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1949, Willie dedicated her life to the service of others through her nursing profession, demonstrating compassion and care in every interaction.
She was predeceased by by her loving husband, Timothy B. Meehan, her son Dennis J. Meehan, her grandson Samuel T. Frisch, her sisters Thelma O’Dell, Geraldine Norris, Ruby Keeney and her brother, Glen Muse.
Willie is survived by her children Patricia (Steve) Goodpaster, Timothy S. (Nancy) Meehan, Barry (Jeni-deceased) Meehan, Karen (Bill) Frisch and Margie Meehan. She leaves behind cherished memories with her grandchildren, Rob and Danny Goodpaster, Kyle, Timmy and Terry Meehan, Ben and John Frisch, and ten great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother, Russ Muse, and several nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
Willie had a passion for reading and creating beautiful stained glass pieces. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, who will miss her warmth, wisdom, and love.
After moving from Delmar to Covington for nursing school, Willie made a significant impact on the community, touching countless lives through her work and personal interactions. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 1st from 9:00 am until time of service at 10:00 am at St. Benedict Church, 338 E. 17th St. Covington, KY 41014.
As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her life and the love she shared with us all.
