January 7, 1938 — May 27, 2026

Covington

Wilma Augusta Brown (nee Breaden) passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the age of 88 years old.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, the late Gary W. Brown, Sr. and grandson, the late Eric Brown Jr. and siblings, the late Loraine Coon, Bill Breaden, Nancy Frondorf, Michael Breaden, Ronnie Breaden and Rachel Marshall. She is survived by her children, Eric (Lorraine) Brown, Jacqueline (Larry) Schuler, Katherine (Greg) Starks, Gary (Lisa) Brown, Jr., Geoffrey (Bridgit) Brown and Patrick (Chelsey) Brown; 12 grandchildren. 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Loretta Meimann and Connie Breaden.

Wilma and Gary were married for 67 years. She loved her children but her grandchildren were her everything.

It was often said that Wilma was the holiest woman someone knew and that she should have been a nun. If it weren’t for her husband and six kids, she could have been. She was very devoted to her faith. She prayed the rosary multiple times daily as well as the Divine Mercy. She was especially devoted to the Blessed Virgin and Jesus. She shared her faith with anyone who would listen and even to those who wouldn’t.

Wilma had a way of building community wherever she went. She genuinely loved people and was loved by many in return.

Wilma is finally at peace and with the love of her life in heaven.
