William "Bill" J. Wehage, Sr.

William J. Wehage, Sr., age 92, of Crestview Hills, KY passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 6, 2021.  Bill bravely served our country as a member of the United States Army Air Corps during WWII.  He was a retired Mechanical Engineer at General Electric and a member of the Knights of St. John for over 70 years.  He loved trips to Florida, playing cards, golf and spending time with his beloved family.  Bill is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Carleen Wehage; children, Anna Wehage-Gurley, Laura Spencer (Edward), William J. Wehage, Jr.  (Karen), Sara Flynn (Rick), Andrew J. Wehage, M Julia Wehage; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Carrie Wehage; sisters, Ruth Schroer and Dolores Goetz.  Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Blessed Sacrament Church from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:00 AM.  Interment will be held privately at a later date.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Knights of St. John Scholarship Fund at https://advancement.shdhs.org/support-the-cru/scholarship-gifts/ .
