Walter John Harpen

Walter John Harpen Jr. passed away October 1, 2026. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 26, 1950 to the late Walter Harpen Sr. and Jeanne Beaber. Walt earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati before working as a Supervisor at Duke Energy.

Walt is survived by his beloved wife Geraldine Reilly Harpen. His siblings Mike Harpen (Lydi), Marty Harpen (Chaty), Frank Harpen (Andrea), Mary Harpen Bolger (John), Tony Harpen, Pete Harpen (Fran), Anne Harpen Broermann (John), and many loving nieces and nephews.

Walt is preceded in death by his siblings, Patrick Harpen (Edna), Grace Harpen Gallenstein (Rick), Edward Harpen and Andrew Harpen.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, from 9:30am to 10:30am at Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, 1140 Madison Ave, Covington, KY 41011. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am at the Cathedral.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Kenton County Animal Hospital or The Right to Life of Greater Cincinnati.
