Virginia Lee Schaaf

Virginia L. Schaaf (nee Moore) of Taylor Mill, KY passed away on September 26, 2026. She was born February 15, 1933, in Covington, KY to Walter and Estelle Moore (nee VanAusdale). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Leistner in 1959, her second husband of fifty-seven years, Jack Schaaf in 2019, and her sister, Mary E. King in 1972. She was active in PTA at Park Hills Elementary, Scott High School’s Eagle Club and was inducted in Scott High School’s Eagle Club Hall of Fame. She was also a member of the Kenton County Homemakers and a Kentucky Colonel. Virginia was a receptionist for Dr. James Rich for fifty years. She had many good friends and a loving family. She will be missed by her son Charles Jeffrey Schaaf (Connie) her daughter, Jennifer Lee Vonderhaar (Douglas) granddaughters Ellen Schaaf and Marissa Vonderhaar, grandson John Schaaf (Mariem), great grandson Neil Schaaf and great granddaughter Elyssa Schaaf. Visitation will be Friday October 2, 2026 from 11:00am until time of service 12:30pm at Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright, KY. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
