Thomas E. Ware of Edgewood, KY, formerly of Middletown, OH, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the age of 97 years. Thomas, son of the late Bertha and Roy Ware, was born in Excello, OH, in 1923. After graduating from Middletown (OH) High School he attended Miami University in Oxford, OH, The Progressive School of Photography in New Haven, CT, and The Cincinnati Art Academy. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in England for three years during World War II. After returning from the war, he became a department manager at General Electric Aircraft Engines Group (now GE Aviation) in Evendale, OH, with a career spanning over 35 years. He married his college sweetheart, Adlyn Racke, in 1948, and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage before her passing in 2010. Adlyn was a noted Spanish and English teacher at Dixie Heights High School in Edgewood, KY. Thomas is survived by his son, Dr. Thomas R. (Amanda) Ware of West Chester, OH; granddaughter, Brittany (Matthew) Walters of Waynesville, OH; great-grandchildren, Kaci and Kennedy Walters; and brother, Mark F. Ware of Dayton, OH. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Susanne Ware, of Middletown, OH. Services are private. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed by a memorial contribution to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.
