Sally Ann (née Ketteler) Murray passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at the age of 86 in Edgewood, Kentucky. Sally, born on May 15, 1934, to Vivien (née Donnelly) and Herbert Ketteler, grew up in Park Hills where she attended St. Agnes School and Norte Dame Academy. Sally met the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Murray, and they were married in 1955. They started their life together in Covington and later moved to Edgewood where they grew their family. Sally was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle “Mickey” Tibbs, Sheila (Dennis Cuddy) Young and Susie (Mike) Kathman, her son, Rick Murray, her sister, Mary (née Ketteler) Meinhardt, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, her daughter, Kathleen “Kathy” (Ken) Quinlan, and her brother, Herbert “Bert” Ketteler. After raising her children, Sally went back to school and earned her BFA from Northern Kentucky University. She was a lover of the arts and was accomplished in a number of mediums including textiles, mixed media, pottery and drawing. She was a skilled quilter and seamstress and sewed quilts and special occasion dresses for her children, grandchildren and friends over the years. Sally was also a volunteer usher at the Aronoff Center for the Arts. Sally was a woman of faith and was a member of St. Pius X Parish in Edgewood for many years where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She volunteered at Be Concerned, a thrift store and food panty in Covington. Visitation Saturday from 10:30 am until 12:00pm at St. Pius X Church in Edgewood. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00pm. Burial St. Mary Cemetery. Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright are handling the arrangements.
