Fort Mitchell

Ronald E. Zerhusen, 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, Kentucky, surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born on July 28, 1958 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Elmer and Anna Mae Zerhusen. He was the devoted husband of Carol Zerhusen (Loomis), with whom he shared 50 wonderful years together.

Ron was a loving father to Brad (Meggie), Casey (Lisa), and Daniel (Kelly), and a proud grandfather to Stella, Charlotte, Max, Ava, and Grayson. He was also a caring brother to Joe, Bob (Patty Jo), Debbie (Terry), and Mary Ann (Larry).

Throughout his life, Ron dedicated himself to serving others. He owned Zerhusen Plumbing and proudly served as a firefighter for the City of Fort Mitchell. While he took great pride in his work and his service to the community, his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being an exceptional husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was his boys’ biggest supporter in everything they did, and nothing made him happier than spending time with his family.

Ron will be remembered for his deep devotion to his family, his commitment to serving others, his steady and unwavering support of those he loved, and the many cherished memories he created throughout his life. His family and friends will carry his memory in their hearts and will forever treasure the time they were blessed to share with him.

Funeral services will be held on Friday August 21, 2026 at Blessed Sacrament Church. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by the service at 12:30. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ron’s life at Summit Hill’s Country Club at 1:30 PM.

Ron was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. Though he is no longer suffering, his love, laughter, and memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
