Ralph L. Carr

Ralph Lawrence Carr passed peacefully at his home into eternal life on June 20, 2023, at the age of 87.  He was born on February 16, 1936 in Newport, KY to the late George and Marie (Schaffer) Carr. Ralph attended Newport Catholic High School and Villa Madonna College where he played basketball and baseball. Ralph worked at several large companies as a Plastics Engineer. Ralph was later inducted into the Newport Central Catholic Hall of Fame as well as the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame.  Ralph was survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Marianne (Roeding), his 6 children: David (Judi), Lisa (Joel) Stiles, Julie (Don) Prindle, Jeff (Beth), Tim and Jennifer (Andy) Durstock. He is loved by his 14 grandchildren: Kristen and Leanne Madi, Kelsey, Cal and Brittany Nielsen, Katlynn Prindle, Alec (Kaitlin) Prindle, Lauren (Sean) Kleindienst, Jacob and Nick Carr, Abby and Austin Carr, Drew and Maddie Durstock and 2 great grandchildren. Ralph was proceeded in death by brothers Robert and Paul and his sister, Virginia Babin. He is survived by his brother George (Betty), sister Rosemary (Ron) Schierer and brothers-in-law David (Lynne) Roeding, Ted (Lisa) Roeding, Roger (Ginny) Roeding, Ken (Terri) Roeding and Steve (Kathy) Roeding and many nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Friday, June 30, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery.
