Patricia Ruth Knochelmann

Patricia Ruth Knochelmann passed away Feb. 22 at the age of 89. Born on Jan. 17, 1935 in Pine Knot, Ky., Patricia was the daughter of Carl and Zelda Moore. She was a graduate of Covington Holmes High School and Northern Kentucky University. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, John H. Knochelmann Sr., with whom she shared nine children, 38 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, Patricia enjoyed her large family, traveling, playing piano, dancing, writing, speaking German and always learning. In 2000, she retired to Florida with her husband after growing their family business, Knochelmann Plumbing, Heating & Air. Her retirement culminated a career in both marketing and accounting. Patricia also spent time with A.E. Burkhardt in Cincinnati, where she was marketing director, and Larman Insurance. Patricia is survived by her children: John Snowden (Barb), Mary Kay Walker (Michael), Karen Gamel (Thomas), Julie Bowen (Ric), Carl Snowden (Stella), John Henry Knochelmann Jr.  (Lori), Lisa Connor (Mark), Peter Knochelmann (Kristine), and Kris Knochelmann (Lisa). She also leaves behind two sisters, Connie Radford (Harvey) of Ocala, Fla., and Becky Teagarden (Robin) of Bedford, Texas, and several sisters/brothers-in-law, Gene Bezold, Ed Knochelmann (Lois), Rose Lankisch, David Knochelmann (Ginny). She also leaves behind dozens and dozens of grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Kenner (Don) of Ocala, Fla. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 5:00 p.m.  Wednesday, Feb. 28 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Crescent Springs, with visitation immediately preceding from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Emerald Trace Rehabilitation Center or The Greater Cincinnati Alzheimer’s Association.
