Nellie M. Mescher

Nellie M. Mescher (nee Oliver) 100 years of age of Villa Hills, KY passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice . She and her late husband Douglas Mescher were owners and operated Dixie Wholesale Grocery Inc. and Dixie Vending for many, many years. She retired as Vice President of Dixie Wholesale Inc.. In her retirement both she and husband Douglas spent many winters at their Ft. Meyers beach Florida home, and traveled to many beautiful places. Her husband Douglas passed away December 20, 2010.

 Nell’s message to her friends “Memories of love and friendship are treasures to carry with you always.”

I want to be sure and thank my care taker who took care of me in my final years. Jose was excellent and made my life enjoyable in my final years. He was truly excellent, if it weren’t for him I probably would’ve left this world much sooner.
