Nancy M. Stiefvater

Nancy (Curtin) Stiefvater of Villa Hills, KY passed away at age 74, on June 29, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Bill Stiefvater for 46 years and proud mother of Michael Stiefvater (Liz) for 40 years. She is additionally survived by her siblings and their families: John Curtin III (Maryann); Mark Curtin (Julia) Greg Curtin (Debbie); Mary Ann Iemmola (Antonio); Barbara Cox; Tom Curtin (Annette); her 16 nephews and nieces, including her five godchildren; and her 17 great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her dear parents, John and Mary Martha Curtin, Jr., and sister, Carolyn Curtin Crone. 

Nancy will be remembered for her magnetic personality, indomitable spirit, and boundless kindness to help others in their time of need. She instilled her intellectual curiosity, charitable nature, and adventurous spirit in her son, nephews and nieces, many of whom have followed in her considerable footprints. Nancy was renowned in the family for her generosity and thoughtfulness, which she particularly loved bestowing through celebratory gifts and congratulatory social media posts. Beyond her immediate family, Nancy touched the lives of many through her significant charitable contributions to over 30 organizations across Greater Cincinnati. After graduating from Villa Madonna Academy and Thomas More College, Nancy began her career at Delta Air Lines where she worked for nearly 30 years. During that time she built countless lifelong friendships and traversed the globe. Nancy finished her career at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where she was the recipient of the prestigious Jefferson Award for Public Service. 

Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 12 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Ft. Mitchell, KY. Visitation will be in the church from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM with Mass at 10:00 AM. Entombment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life at Summit Hills Country Club in Crestview Hills, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated for Hospice Care of St. Elizabeth in Edgewood, KY.
