Michael J. Tierney

Michael J. Tierney, age 82, passed away on April 16th, 2026. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on June 16th, 1943 to the late Mary Jane and Robert Tierney. Before his retirement Michael worked as a self-employed landscaper. Michael was preceded in death by his father Robert Tierney, mother Mary Jane Clay and stepfather Billy D. Clay. Michael is survived by his loving wife Sandra Tierney (nee Reed) and their children Dennis (Maureen) Tierney, Patrick Tierney, Jeffrey (Deborah) Tierney, Kevin (Jennifer) Tierney and Shannon Caudill. He is also survived by his grandchildren Rachel (Joe) Cook, Emily (Kyle) Chevalier, Timothy (Kristen) Tierney, Louis Tierney, Abigail Tierney, Jacklyn Tierney, Molly Tierney, Ellen Tierney and Chloe Caudill; great-grandchildren Carly Cook, Henry Chevalier, Cameron Cook, Brooklyn Tierney, Lucy Chevalier, Caroline Cook, Nora Tierney and Hazel Chevalier; and his sister Kathleen Benson. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Mother of God Church, 119 W Sixth St, Covington, KY 41011. Mass of Christian burial will take place on April 24th following the visitation at 12:00 pm at Mother of God Church.
