Mary Ellen Ebelhardt

November 27, 1932 — August 13, 2021

Mary E. (Byrd) Ebelhardt (nee Ream), age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 13, 2021 in Cincinnati, OH.  Ninth child of the late John and Dorthea Ream, Mary attended Woodward High School and Compton Jr. College in Compton, CA.  She worked in Cincinnati for the National Underwriter Company and Laboiteaux Company. 

Mary is survived by her daughter, Karen Schroder (Tom) of Cincinnati, OH; step-daughters, Paula Petroze (Pete) of Union, KY and Patricia Martin of Florence, KY; step-sons, Marty Ebelhardt (Heidi) of Minneapolis, MN and Robert and Donald Ebelhardt of Palm Beach, FL; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Ebelhardt; brothers, Howard, John, William, Fred and Art Ream; sisters, Alberta Byrd, Francis Ragsdale and Dorothy Gill.  Mary was a loyal, devoted, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, her husband and family were her pride and joy.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at St. Rose Church (Cincinnati, OH) from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:00 AM.  Interment will immediately follow at St. Mary Cemetery (Ft. Mitchell, KY).  Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association 300 S. Riverside Plaza Ste. 1200 Chicago, IL 60606-6637.
