Mary Jane Buechel

Mary Jane Buechel (nee Cardosi).  (March 13, 1927 – July 13, 2021).  Mary Jane passed away at home surrounded by her family.  She and her loving husband, Jack, were married for more than 60 years when Jack died in 2011. Mary Jane was also preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Blanche Cardosi, and her brothers, Edward, Jr. and Richard Cardosi.  She is survived by her children, Ed (Kathy), Beth Lange, Wally (MaryAnn), Tim (Marcy), Ann Henn (Bob), John (Peach), all living in Northern Kentucky, and Gerard (Shelley) residing in Seattle.  She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, her sister, Ann Marie (“Bootsie”) Cardosi, and a large extended family.  In true matriarch form, Mary Jane was always the “glue” to bring the family together.  A natural ray of light, Mary Jane brought positivity to every situation she was presented with and saw goodness in each person she met.  If you knew Mary Jane, you could bet you were on her prayer list, and always welcomed at her dinner table.  In addition to being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, Mary Jane was always willing to help; treating everyone with the same love and respect that she provided to her own family.  May Jane was the definition of unconditional love.  In addition to members of her family, without whom Mary Jane could not have stayed at home, the family wants to especially thank Brittany, Annette, and all the caregivers at St. Elizabeth Hospice for the loving care that was given to Mary Jane.  Visitation is this evening,  (Thursday, July 15^th) from 4:00 pm  until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 pm at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Rd.  Edgewood, KY 41017.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 200 Vesey St., 28^th Floor, New York, NY 10281 http//www2.jdrf.org/goto/JaneBuechel;   St. Pius Church, 348 Dudley Pike, Edgewood, KY 41017;  Holy Spirit Outreach, 825 Washington Avenue, Newport, KY 41071;  or St. Charles Care Center, 500 Farrell Drive, Covington, KY 41011.  Middendorf Funeral Home, Ft.
