Marilyn E. Oehler

Marilyn E. Oehler (nee Hoffer), 83 years of age, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday morning, December 19, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church. She loved to read, play piano, listen to music, go to church, and decorate her home for every season of the year. Marilyn's greatest pride was her large family of seven children. She cherished family gatherings! She delighted in hosting family cookouts and playing all kinds of indoor and outdoor games. She was fond of working puzzles, taking drives, and just sitting on the porch with her children and grandchildren. 

Marilyn was the loving wife of the late Richard O. Oehler (2013). A treasured and loving mother, Marilyn, is survived by her children: Susan Leake (Jim), John Oehler (Eileen), Amy Gollar (Walker), Katy Mullins, Molly Weaver (Brian), Joseph Oehler, and Jenny Oehler. She was the proud grandma of nine grandchildren: Rachel Leake, Tyler Leake, Austin Leake, Renee Oehler, Matthew Oehler, Benjamin Gollar, Caroline Gollar, Patrick Weaver, and Adam Weaver. Marilyn will be missed by many nieces and nephews also. Middendorf Funeral home is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 9:00-11:00 am at St. John’s Church in Covington (627 W. Pike St. Covington, KY) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Covington, KY or St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Ky.
