Born in Louisville, KY on August 10, 1934, Margaret Schworer came to Cincinnati to stay with her foster parents. She attended Mt Notre Dame High School. As a nursing student at St Elizabeth in Covington, she met a handsome pharmacy tech. Life interrupted her plans for a career in nursing, they get married and started a family. Marge resumed her nursing career in the late 1960's while raising six children while her husband served as a physician in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After her graduation she and her six children and moved to California to rejoin her husband. After a few months in California, husband Phil was transferred to Texas and then, finally Fort Knox, Kentucky. Upon returning to Northern Kentucky she began her nursing career at the TB Sanitarium. She then worked as a Registered Nurse at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center Chemical Dependency Unit. She retired from St. Elizabeth only to take-up a career in real estate. Her volunteer community service included the St. Elizabeth Auxiliary and Wood Hudson Cancer Research. She helped create the St. Elizabeth Golf Partee, even though she never played golf. Following her retirement from real estate, she volunteered as an usher at the Aronoff Center with her sister-in-law Charlotte. Christmas was always his favorite time of year. She loved hosting family gatherings, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. In her spare time, she formed a stock investment group called the "Whynots." She is survived by six children: Philip (Lynn), Mary (Frank Garamy), Tony, Mike (Wendy), Angela (Rich Bird), and Marc (Amy); 16 grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 Madison Pike Ft. Wright, KY 41017) from 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 12:00 PM.
