Lynda Lee Price

We are sad to announce the passing of Lynda Lee (Schmitz) Price, loving friend, mother and grandmother. Lyn was born on September 11, 1947 to Robert and JoAnn Schmitz of Ft. Mitchell, KY and passed peacefully on July 5, 2026 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She joins her parents and loving husband, Joseph Price, who preceded her. Lyn is survived by her children: Amy (Borchers) and Steve Balson, Michael and Sandi Borchers, Lori (Borchers) and Bob Corsarie, grandchildren: Jack Pitstick, Corrina Borchers, Sydney Balson, Ceceilagh Pitstick, Luc Balson and Ava Borchers, siblings: Christy, Greg and Terry, and many friends.

After graduating Notre Dame Academy in 1965 Lyn became a nurse. She later returned to school for a Masters Degree and at the height of her career was the Associate Dean, Faculty Affairs, at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. However, the career was no match for grandchildren and not long after they came along, Lyn retired to spend more time with them and was extremely involved in their lives. She was creative, loving, and slightly irreverent with a flair for fashion and decorating. Lyn created a deep and lasting bond with each of her grandchildren. Beyond just missing her, we will miss the family vacations to Kiawah, her magical Christmases, crafts, and signature dishes. She loved the beach and traveled to Kiawah Island innumerable times over the past 30 years, with each grandchild enjoying the beach as their first vacation.

May she rest in peace, Grandma Lyn leaves a void that can never be filled.
