Lyn Wessels

Carolyn “Lyn” Ann Wessels (nee Luebbers), age 86, of Fort Mitchell, KY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.  Lyn is survived by her loving children, Ann Clemens (Rob), Jim Wessels, Paul Wessels (Jennifer), Ellen Mayleben (David), Dan Wessels (Sandy) and Kathi Kelly; siblings, Larry Luebbers and Mimi Gerding; loving grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, Adam, Evan, Rachel, Morgan, Mitchell (deceased), Joe, Jessica, Monica, Gretchen, Hannah, Kendall, Bailey, Aidan and 8 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her dear husband, James F. Wessels; siblings, Jack Luebbers, Freddie Luebbers and Tony Luebbers.  
Lyn touched the lives of so many with her warmth, kindness, and love. She cherished her role as mother and grandmother above all else. Lyn and her husband Jim had a beautiful life together, and they made countless memories that will be treasured by their family forever.
After completing her education, Lyn became a nurse, dedicating her life to caring for others. As a devoted Catholic, Lyn found great solace in saying the rosary, a practice that brought her peace and comfort throughout her life. 
Lyn will be deeply missed by her family and all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
Visitation will be held at St. Agnes Church on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:30 AM.  Interment will immediately follow at St. Mary Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association or charity of the donor’s choice.
