Lorraine E. Ruh

Lorraine Ellen Ruh, who departed this life on Saturday, March 19th, 2022 was the devoted wife of Joseph Carl Ruh. She was the daughter of the late Orville Paul Murphy and Luella Betty Murphy of Covington, KY. She is the sister of seven brothers and three sisters. She earned an A.B. from Centre College in 1973 and an M.B.A. from the University of Kentucky in 1975. She spent over 20 years as a member of the Accounting Faculty at Northern Kentucky University. She especially enjoyed reading mystery novels, riding bicycles, traveling, and shopping for children’s toys for friends and family.

She is survived by her husband Joseph Ruh, her son, John Downs, her brothers Albert Murphy, David Murphy, Fred Murphy, John Murphy, and Ray Murphy, her sisters Janice Neal and Peggy Warman and their spouses, her in-laws Robert and Karen Johnson, many nephews and nieces and dear friends. Visitation is from 11:00am-12:00pm on Friday, March 25th at Blessed Sacrament Church 2409 Dixie Highway, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017. The Mass will immediately follow the visitation from 12:00pm-1:00pm. The funeral procession will proceed to Highland Cemetery. Following the burial, a celebration of life will be held in Blessed Sacrament’s Undercroft from 1-3 pm.  Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital: Memorial Giving 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
