Lois A. Flach (nee Kleinman), age 92, passed away peacefully at her home on February 19th, 2026. She was born in Covington, KY on October 5th, 1933, and grew up in Latonia, attending Holy Cross church and school. Lois was married to her devoted husband, Jack Flach, 62 years before his passing in 2017.
Lois was a selfless, hardworking, always contented person who rolled with whatever life sent her way. She was a loving and caring mother and homemaker throughout her life. She volunteered in many capacities: homeroom mother, Girl Scout leader, Confraternity of Christian Mothers, St. Pius X school and a longtime volunteer at BeConcerned. Lois and Jack raised their children in a lively, loving, faith-filled home, a home that was always a welcoming gathering place for family and friends. Lois once said that she and Jack agreed that their children, and their families, were their greatest pleasures. Many warm memories were made camping, boating, and vacationing at the beach. Lois had a soft spot for children, and spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her so much joy. Her family and her faith were the primary focus of her life, and Lois always had a stack of prayer books that were a part of her daily routine.
Lois is survived by her children Patti Catton, Sue Flach, Jim (Karen) Flach, Terri DeYong, Carolyn (Joe) Theis, Kathy (Ron) Brunot and Bob (Kris) Flach. She is also survived by her grandchildren Corey (Anna) Catton, Maggie Catton, David Catton, Ryan Flach, Andrew Flach (Eunjee Kwon), Daniel (Alex) Flach, Nicole Flach, Tessa Theis (Trent Fenster), Annie (Jake) Spryn, Joey (Hannah) Faeben, Emma Theis, Josh Theis, Michael (Anya) Olsen-Brunot, Kara Brunot, Christopher (Kiley) Flach and Ben Flach; and her great-grandchildren Will Elbert and Johann Flach. Lois was preceded in death by her loving husband John L. Flach, her daughter Jeanine Flach, her parents Ann Kleinman (nee Smith) and Raymond Kleinman, and her sister Mary Rae (Babe) Kleinman.
