Kimberly Elam Howard, age 65 passed away on May 8th, 2024. She was born on April 26th, 1959 in Cincinnati, OH to Rita and Virgil Elam. Kim worked at River Ridge School for over 20 years before retiring from the special education department in 2019. Kim is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Danny Howard, and her children Shelby (Ashley), Griffin and Chelsea (Patrick). She is also survived by her grandchildren Zoey, Ruby and Asher, her mother Rita Elam, her siblings Mike Hughes of Slidell, LA, Linda Hughes-Goldstein of Loveland, OH and Cindy Farrell of Slidell, LA, along with many nieces and nephews. Kimberly was preceded in death by her father Virgil and her granddaughter Brooklynn. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024 from 5-8pm at Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 15th at 3pm at St. Joseph Church, 2470 Lorraine Ct., Crescent Springs, KY 41017. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Autism Speaks, as working with these children was her life’s passion.
