Judith D. Campbell

February 18, 1940 — July 1, 2022

Kentucky is a less festive place with the absence of Judy Campbell, who passed away at home on July 1,2022 with her family at her side. Judith Dorothea Campbell  82 years of age, was the eldest daughter of Helen Marie Meisberger and John Dudley "Buster" Campbell. She was born at home on February 18, 1940. Growing up in Cincinnati's vibrant Northside neighborhood, she attended Winton Place School. She married at an early age, raising four children. Circumstances soon necessitated her working outside the home. Her love of people took her to being a waitress at Frisch's, hostess at Holiday Inn and The Round Towner, bartender at The Cabana and Dark Horse, associate at Macy's and as a cashier at Home Depot. At one time, her caring ways had her running a group home. Always bright, upbeat and inquisitive she never missed an opportunity to have fun. She and another department store associate would sometimes dance in the aisles in between waiting on customers. Judy enjoyed the comradery with her co-workers. Young staff members always found a confidant in Judy. Judy loved her family and the special times with them. She always took her children to Sunday dinners at her grandparents' home in Northside. She never missed ceramics with her Mom and Aunts. She loved gatherings with her grown children and their families be it a fine holiday dinner, backyard barbeque. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William A. Wissman, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Shari Lathrop; son, Tarey Franxman; daughter, Dana (Jeff) Mills; daughter, Shawn Burcham; grandchildren, Chad Earls, Todd Earls, Ryan Mills, Paige Burcham and Ty Burcham; great grandchildren, Cassandra Hamilton, Aldin Earls and Kristin Earls. She is also survived by her sister: Sharon (Dan) Meyer, as well as many other dear relatives and friends. Services were private at the convenience of the family.  The family thanks the staff of The Victorian at Riverside and St. Elizabeth Hospice for their kind and loving care. Middendorf Funeral Home of Ft. Wright is serving the family. Online condolences to: www.middendorf-funeralhome.com
