Joseph Louis Ralenkotter

Edgewood

Joseph L. Ralenkotter, age 89 of Edgewood, KY passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024. Joseph was born in Covington, KY on September 15th, 1934 to the late Myrtle and Joseph H. Ralenkotter.  He graduated from Covington Catholic High School and Villa Madonna College, now Thomas More University, with a degree in accounting and later becoming a CPA.  Joseph proudly served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany for two years during his time in the military.  He worked for the U.S. Treasury Department for 34 years.  He served as Treasurer for Covington Catholic and Notre Dame Academy Parents Associations and also as President of the NKSL.  He very much enjoyed  his many years as a member of the Friendly Aces Social Club since1956. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gertrude (Lonnemann) Ralenkotter; his children Jeff Ralenkotter, Cheryl Ralph (Doug), Elaine Ralenkotter and Karen Dirst (Chad). He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Christopher and Kendall Ralph and Julianne and Barrett Dirst.  Joseph was preceded in death by his brother William Ralenkotter and his granddaughter Mary Allison Dirst. Visitation will be on Friday, March 8th at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Dr., Edgewood, KY 41017 from 10-11am. Mass of Christian Burial will take place following the visitation at 11am. Burial to follow at St. Mary  Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.  In lieu of flowers, it would be appreciated if donations in his memory be made to The Point, 104 Pike Street, Covington, KY 41011
