John J. Summe, Jr.

John Joseph Summe, Jr., age 83, of Covington, KY passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 30, 2026. He is survived by his loving children, Max Summe and Maria Midzak; brothers, Fred Summe, Chris Summe and Tony Summe; sisters, Marguerite Schabell, Eleanor Goering and Martha Fritsch; as well as 9 grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, John J. Summe, Sr. and Jessica Summe; wife, LeaAnn Summe (nee Schmidt).

Visitation will be held at St. Augustine Church on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery North (Williamstown, KY). Memorial donations may be made to a local Catholic parish for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass to be offered for the repose of his soul.
