John R. Smiley

John Robert Smiley of Marina Del Rey, CA, passed away January 11, 2021 at Cedar Sinai Hospice Care Center, LA, CA, of Cancer at the age of 70 years.  He was the son of deceased parents Clara “Glacken” Smiley and Herman Leroy Smiley, “Babe & Smiley”.  Grandson of deceased grandmother Alma “Snyder” Glacken.  Brother of Patricia “Smiley” Litzler (Tom).  Uncle of Michelle, Michael (Tammy), Marc (Jayney) Litzler.  Great Uncle of Wes (Devin) Horton, Jenna, Matthew (Maggie), Jacob, Jodi, Jonathan, Jayson Litzler.  Great-Great Uncle of Ellis Sydney Horton.  1^st cousin of Luella (Shawn) Glacken, daughter of his deceased Aunt Louise and Uncle Rod Glacken.  Also many caring cousins and friends.  John graduated from Holmes High, after which he moved to California where he lived for the rest of his life.  He enjoyed being a Limo Driver in LA for over 20 years.  Graveside service 11:00 am Wednesday, March 17^th at the Hopeful Cemetery, 6430 Hopeful Lutheran Rd.  Florence, KY 41042 where he will be interred next to his Mother & Father.  Sympathy may be expressed by a memorial contribution to St. Elizabeth Hospice.  Online condolences may be made at, www.middendorf-funeralhome.com
