James “Jim” D. Wigger passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 21, 2026. Survived by his wife, Karen (Trigg), children, Mary Karen (Kurt) Pietrus, Kathryn (Ashley), Michael (Stephanie), Gregory (Leslie), 10 grandchildren, sisters Connie (Dutton) Aylor, Diane (Bob) Wilson, and brothers, Tom (Lynn), Jeff (Mary Sue), David (Kris), and his Godmother Henrietta (Aunt Babe) Wienkamp. Preceded in death by his parents Mary & Marvin Wigger and brother Stephen Wigger.

Jim strongly believed he had received many blessings throughout his life. Most significant was meeting his wife, Karen, in 1972. She was his inspiration for 54 years and his loving wife for 49 years.

Jim faithfully attended daily Mass, a routine for which he was grateful to his parents, who illuminated the path of faith for him. He especially enjoyed hosting and attending special Sunday and holiday dinners with extended family, where good food, laughter, and time together created lasting memories.

Jim and Karen shared many wonderful trips with their closest friends. A special thank-you goes to Denny for initiating their anniversary celebrations, which became cherished occasions over the years. Jim also enjoyed countless rounds of golf and many golf trips with the Gang of Fore—though, despite all those rounds, not a single ace!

Jim was grateful for the many friendships he made at and through his years associated with Fischer Homes. He especially appreciated Henry and Elaine for the blessings that grew from those years.

And, of course, Jim was most proud of his four children, of whom he would often say, “Any parent would be proud.”
