James C. Talbert, II

James Cyril Talbert, II, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 73 years of age, after a nine-year struggle resulting from a near fatal vehicle accident. Jay was a devoted father, husband, brother and uncle. Beginning his career with the United States Navy, he went on to become a licensed salvage diver, tow boat pilot, and captain, teacher and trainer, and later a marine transport consultant. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, boatman, dog trainer, and loved to share his enthusiasm for nature and the outdoors. Jay was a strong presence in life, and will be deeply missed by family and friends. 
James is survived by his wife, Kathleen Talbert; daughter, Sarah (William Green) Talbert; brothers, Mark (Jane) Talbert and Kevin Talbert; nephews, Joseph and Dru Talbert.  Visitation is Friday, October 27th from 11:00 am until time of Catholic Blessing at 12:00 pm at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pk.  Ft. Wright, KY 41017.
