James L. Shirden

James Leo (Jim) Shirden, age 83, of Fort Mitchell, KY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.  He was an active member of St. Boniface and James Church including being on the Parish Council and Finance Committee. Jim retired after a long career at American Airlines and then worked with his 3 sons at Shirden’s Carpet Cleaning. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Linda Shirden (nee Thackston); children, James Michael “Mike” Shirden, Jeffrey Alan “Jeff” Shirden (Julie), Lynn Shirden Lewin (Scott) and David Anthony Shirden; siblings, Janet M. Martin (Ralph), (the late) Raymond Patrick Shirden and (the late) Mary E. Martin (Pete); 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at St. Boniface and James Church (304 Oak St, Ludlow, KY 41016) from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11:00 AM.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O.
