James E. Boschert, 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Madonna Manor Care Center in Villa Hills.
Born in 1944 to Elmer and Adele Boschert. With a generous heart and a deep devotion to his faith, Jim lived a life centered on family, service, and joy. He was the loving father of Steve Boschert (Victor Loureda), Doug Boschert (Julie), Jeremy Boschert, who preceded him in death in 1995, and Karen Boschert. He was “Pop Pop” to his cherished grandchildren—Brooks Boschert, Andrew Boschert, and Mateo Boschert Loureda—and step-grandchildren Cole Gerding, Leah Braun, and Chad Gerding.
Jim was the dear brother of Mary Ann (John) Horvath, Jerry Boschert, and Barb Schaiper (Jim). Jim was uncle to many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. His family roots were strong, and he carried those bonds with him throughout his life.
For about seven years, Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army ROTC “B Company.” In 1969, he began a long and successful career as an exceptional salesman with The Hennegan Company, where he worked with dedication and integrity until his retirement in 2008.
Faith was at the center of Jim’s life—Catholic to his core and steadfast in his values. He loved the Cincinnati Bengals, Xavier Musketeers basketball, and all things Elder High School. He coached all his children in soccer, fostering not just skills but countless memories. Jim found joy in traveling—especially on trips out West, to the beaches of Siesta Key, and to visit family in Cleveland and beyond.
He rarely missed a game, performance, or school event for his grandchildren, cheering them on with pride. At home, he enjoyed working in the yard, tackling home projects, and sharing laughter with those around him. Jim was always ready with a prank, a warm smile, or one of his unforgettable “Pop Pop jokes.”
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Church from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Jeremy Boschert Memorial Fund at Elder High School.
