Henry “Hank” Carl Gieske passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday June 6, 2021. Hank was 87 years of age and a resident of Edgewood. He was a Home Builder, Artist, Fisherman and Gardner. Hank was preceded in death by his wife Pat Gieske, and his brother John Gieske and parents Henry and Rosa Gieske. He is survived by his loving children Dr. Michael Gieske (Cathy), Monica Northcutt, Mimi Pence (Jerry), Jill Shields (Joe), David Gieske, Scott Gieske, and Stephen Gieske (Leslie). Loving grandpa to Justin Northcutt (Megan), Stevi Northcutt (Zak Gadomski), Ashley Elliott, Seth Pence, Dylan, Nate, Luke and Blake Shields, Lauren Bryan (Blake), Paige, Alex, Lily, Lucas, and Elise Gieske. Loving great-grandpa of Olivia, Laila, Vincent, Matthew, Jaxson, Boston and Brooklyn. Dear brother of Bernard Gieske, Walter Gieske (Judy), Paul Gieske (Mary Margaret), Tom Gieske (Marilyn), Bob Gieske (Joan), Rosemary Billman (George), and Angela Jolicoeur. Dear uncle to forty five nieces and nephews. Dear companion to Judy Musselman and cat Cutie Pie. Hank worked so hard for his family and children and had such a strong faith in God. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at St. Pius X Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am. Entombment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden. Middendorf Funeral Home in Ft. Wright are handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to: Pat Gieske Nursing Scholarship Fund at Thomas More College or Food for the Poor Inc, or Walter Gieske Family Ft.
