George F. Crabtree

George F. Crabtree, 82, of Ft. Wright, Kentucky passed away at his home on January 17, 2022. He was the loving husband of his wife of 30 years, Marian Crabtree. He was the loving stepfather of Seth Jones (Allison) and loving granddad to Austin and Harrison Jones.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, George served in the U.S. Air Force before working as a railroad engineer for Norfolk Southern Railway for more than 30 years. George loved the great outdoors and was an avid bird watcher and fisherman. He also enjoyed kayaking, reading and hiking, bird watching and traveling with his wife. George was a volunteer with the Friends of the Kenton County Public Library and a long-time member of the Kentucky Ornithological Society. George is preceded in death by his wife, Marian (nee Dwyer) Crabtree, and his parents the late George and Loraine (nee Stone) Crabtree. A private funeral service will be held at Middendorf Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Highland Cemetery.
