GUNKEL, FRANK R. of Bloomfield Hills; November 30, 2025; age 95; Dear husband of the late Delores Gunkel and the late Rosemary Schubring; Cherished father of Jennifer (Mark) Scyzoryk and Greg Gunkel and his fiance' Shannan; Beloved grandfather of Brittany (Cody), Christina (Matt), Brenna and Noah; Great grandfather of Stetson; Loving brother of the late Paul, Clifford, Melvin, Earl and Laverne. Former father in law of April. Mr. Gunkel was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He worked for the General Motors Corporation at the Warren Tech Center. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 13th at Holy Cross Church 3612 Church St.  Covington, KY 41015.  Memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation
