Elsie Jane King

Elsie Jane "EJ" King (Preston), age 81, of Erlanger, KY passed away peacefully on Monday, October 4, 2021.  She was a 1963 graduate of St. Elizabeth School of Nursing and began her career as an emergency room nurse.  EJ would later go on to become a travel agent, a job she really enjoyed because of her own love to travel.  She was a member of St. Patrick’s Altar Society, Chairman of Emerald Isle ball, active in Child Conservation League and Independence Soccer Club.  EJ & Dr. Joseph King raised 8 children together. She is survived by Dr. Joe King, Mike King, Kelly King (Joy), Patricia King, Molly King (Chris Gorz), Nick King (Lucy), Brad King, Scott King (Beth) and Steven King (Sheila); brother, Leon Agan (Kathy); step-sister, Frances Davis; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  A visitation will be held at Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 Madison Pike Ft. Wright, KY 41017) on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  Mass of Christian burial will be held the following day, Monday, 10:00 a.m., October 11, 2021 at St. Barbara Church.  Interment will immediately follow at St. John Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Barbara Church 4042 Turkeyfoot Rd, Erlanger, KY 41018.
