Dorothy “Dottie” Dailey, age 81 of Fort Wright, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024. Her children Ann (Charles) Dailey-Dickerson, John Dailey, and Lynn Dailey were all by her side in her final days. She would proudly boast about her six grandchildren: Boston, Maylynne, Kingston, Brooklyn, Branson, and Adalyn. She is proceeded in death by her sisters; Sylvia (Clifford) Giese and Evelyn (Mike) Ruh, and brother Paul (Jeanie) Meyer. She is survived by her loving sister Eileen (Robert) Macke.
Born in Norwood, Ohio on May 28, 1943, she was the daughter of Herbert and Thelma Meyer. Dottie served as President of the 1961 Class at Mt. Notre Dame High School. She worked as a Kroger cashier while putting herself through St. Elizabeth Nursing School. Dottie worked as a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery at St. Elizabeth Hospital where she retired after 43 years of service. She will always be remembered for her dedication, loyalty, and love of her family. She was her grandchildren’s number one fan at all sporting and school events. Dottie gave us all courage and strength and reminded us of the preciousness of life. We will miss her dearly.
