David E. Browning

David Elliott Browning, age 85, of Erlanger, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 22, 2022.  Dave taught and coached football at Dixie Heights and Scott High School for over 32 years, NKAC Coach of the Year (1973), NKY Athletic Director’s HOF (1989) inductee and had his football number (22) retired at Dixie Heights.  Dave was also a Kentucky Colonel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanine Browning (nee Hagedorn); brother, Robert Browning (Donna); sisters-in-law, Nancy Hagedorn Roberts and Peggy Dramis (George); special daughter and grand-daughter, Tanya and Sloan Tieman; numerous nieces and nephews and fur buddy, Winston.  Dave was preceded in passing by his parents, Jesse F. and Isabelle (Dahl) Browning; siblings, Jeff Browning, William Browning, Barbara Montgomery, Donna McGough and Benay Riggs. 

Visitation will be held at Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 Madison Pk. Fort Wright, KY 41017) on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 12:00 PM until the Memorial Service begins at 2:00 PM.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Memorial Giving
