Daniel J. Dorning

Daniel J. Dorning, age 73, of Covington, KY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.  Danny was a retired signalman for the railroad and bravely served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps.  He is preceded in death by his father Albert Dorning and his mother Dorothy Dorning. He is survived by his children, Eric Dorning (Kim), Nick Dorning (Beth), Rachel Walls (Michael), Jessica Yeary (Jasper) and Kevin Dorning; siblings, Richard Dorning, Barbara Hester(late), Jerry Dorning, Diane Bruner and Tom Dorning; grandchildren, Kayla, Knox, Skylar, Bryonna, Hunter, Madden, Monroe, Kennedy, Easton, Jase, Kingston, Emersyn, Hailie, Hannah (late), Hayden, Hartlie, Harrison, Karter, Isabelle, Jasper, and Atticus; great-grandchildren, Ajustice, Kymber, Addison, Liam, and Xavier; as well as several very loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A Graveside Service will be held at Mother of God Cemetery on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 1:00 PM with full military honors.  Burial will immediately follow.  Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and/or Susan B.
