Christopher P. Borne

November 11, 1964 — February 12, 2022

Christopher Paul Borne, left this earth on Feb 12, 2022. He was a lover of music, a

creator of art, collector of guitars and a believer in justice and a lifetime advocate for human

rights. He grew up in Edgewood, KY and attended Covington Latin School and toured Europe

by bike with his classmates previous to his graduation in 1980. He later moved to Santa Cruz,

CA and Denver, CO before returning back to Kentucky. Chris was a unique and interesting

person; he enjoyed life and making others smile. He always spoke of his participation in the

Great Peace March and loved following The Grateful Dead on tour for many years. It was those

years that developed him into who he wanted to be as an adult. Based on the online presence

of his friends from these times and his connection with Steve Kimock’s music, he was loved by

many and brought joy to them and touched their lives in positive ways. He was a lover of nature

and enjoyed hiking in the mountains of Colorado or along the beaches of California.

He leaves behind his daughter, Bella Borne, whom he loved dearly. For many years, he

devoted every waking moment to her happiness and introduced her to the music scene and tour

family to share this appreciation with her. His best friend and mother, who supported him and

encouraged him, no matter what, will greatly miss him and their daily conversations about

politics, family, music and other varied topics. He was well versed on many topics and loved

reading to continuously learn more. Chris will also be missed by his cats, Buddy & Annie.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Paul Terrence Borne and many friends along

the way including his one true love, Jennifer. He is survived by his daughter, Bella, his siblings:

Cindy Borne (Norb Steidle), Brad Borne (Laura), Julie Watkins (Kelly) and his nieces and

nephews: Elliot, Alexander, Elijah, Daniel, Tatum, Zoe, Katherine, Luke and Rebecca, and

brother-in-law Scott Walker, as well as his previous wife, Mallory King.

Donations in his honor can be made to the Bella Borne College Fund at 3133 Charter

Oak Rd, Edgewood, KY 41017 or Venmo to @Cindy-BorneWalker.
