Carolyn Marie Schmitz

Carolyn Marie Schmitz (nee Brandner) age 72, of Edgewood, KY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2021, surrounded by her family.  Carolyn retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital where she worked for 24 years.  She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Bob Schmitz; children, Amy Knuckles (Larry) and Jeff Schmitz (Rachelle); grandchildren, Sammi, Weston and Ben; siblings, Steve Brandner (Betty Ann), Linda Berger (Andy) and Gregg Brandner (Jo); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Carolyn was preceded in passing by her parents, Harold and Dolores Brandner. 

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at St. Pius X Church (Edgewood, KY) from 5:00 PM until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 6:30 PM.  A private entombment service will take place at St. Mary Cemetery the following day. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to St. Pius X Church Christian Outreach Fund 348 Dudley Rd, Edgewood, KY 41017.
