Carole Kathman

Carolyn Louise Kathman (nee Marz) was born August 11, 1930 in Covington, Kentucky. Preceded in death, her mother Alvina Marz and father Alphonsus Marz, her husband John James Kathman, son Jack Kathman and great granddaughter Maggie Ann Kathman. Carolyn was a life long Cincinnati Reds fan. Her parents let her skip school to attend the 1939 World Series. Unfortunately, the New York Yankees beat our Reds. But that didn’t dampen her enthusiasm, she followed the Reds all of her life. She married the love of her life, John Kathman on June 27, 1953. She is survived by her daughter Joy (Tom) Tindera and son Tim Kathman, her grandchildren Craig Kathman, Dion Tindera, Michela Tindera, Jared Kathman and Kyle Kathman, and three great grandchildren, Emmie, Max and Wes Kathman.

Carolyn was very social and loved meeting new people, but always remained loyal to her life long friends. Her family meant the world to her and she was happiest when everyone was gathered at the Kathman house to celebrate the holidays.

Visitation will be Saturday October 3rd from 9:00am until 10:30am at St. Pius X Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30am. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery.
