Calvin Junior McKenzie

Calvin Junior McKenzie, age 61, of Fort Mitchell, KY passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2022.  Calvin is survived by his loving wife, Kathy McKenzie (nee Kabitsch); children, Shannon McKenzie and Brian McKenzie; sisters, Noella Suffridge and Elaine Ball; grandchildren, Gabriel, Christian and Julian; as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Alice McKenzie, Lana McKenzie, Terry McKenzie and Ruby Gibson.

Calvin worked for many years in the remodeling business specializing in hardwood floors.  Friends and colleagues knew him as one of the most hardworking and loyal people they ever met.   He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.  His family always came first.  There was nothing more precious to Calvin than being with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held at Middendorf Funeral Home (3312 Madison Pike Ft. Wright, KY 41017) on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM until the Funeral Service begins at 6:00 PM.  Memorial contributions are suggested to The American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Elizabeth Foundation Hospice Program.
