Brian “Scott” Bussell
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Bussell. Scott was born on March 5, 1969 and passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at the age of 57 years old.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, the late Marilyn Behrmann and a brother, the late David Bussell. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherri Lynn Bussell (nee Boehme); daughter, Hailey Bussell; father, James (Patsy) Bussell; step-father, Gary Behrmann; niece & nephew, Kendra and Justin Bussell. He is also survived by numerous friends.
Scott lived his life with an infectious sense of humor, always ready to brighten up a room with his quick wit and jovial spirit. His love for life was evident to all who knew him, and his knack for bringing laughter and joy wherever he went was truly remarkable. Scott was a huge fan of the comedian Sam Kinison who once said “The purpose of comedy is to make people laugh. It’s not to make people think”. Scott lived this philosophy to the fullest, making us laugh with his humor and love for life.
Scott had many interests. You might find Scott on Karaoke night at Shafer’s Tavern singing classics like Jamey Johnson’s “You Should Have Seen It in Color” or Prince's “Little Red Corvette” or you may seen him at a re-release of the “Big Lebowski” at the theater wearing full Lebowski gear including bowling shirt, plaid shorts and clear jelly sandals. He was a true fan of that movie embodying the laid-back attitude of “the Dude”. Or, you might also find Scott sitting quietly reading a book. You will be missed.
May you rest in eternal peace Scott.
There will be a celebration of life to be determined at a later date in Norwood, Ohio.
