Betty Sue Davis passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the age of 91.
To everyone who knew her, Sue was a source of joy—full of life, laughter, and a deep love for her family and friends.
Sue’s friendships were one of her greatest treasures. Some began in grade school and lasted her entire life, a testament to her loyalty, humor. She adored her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, and nothing made her happier than time spent with them.
She lived with enthusiasm spending time swimming, traveling, senior groups, card games, Broadway shows, musicals, and dinners out—Sue embraced it all. She found joy in simple moments and adventure in everyday life.
Her faith guided her actions. She was active in her parish, visited seniors who were alone, and gathered supplies for mission trips to Appalachia. Sue believed in showing up for people, and she did so quietly, consistently, and with a full heart.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert C. Davis, DMD. She leaves behind her children Martin Davis, Greg (Susan) Davis, Ron Davis, and Chuck (Cyndi) Davis; her grandchildren Jonathan (Mandi) Davis, Jenna Barnett, Zach (Grace) Davis, Laura (Tony) Buchannon, Brad (Audrey) Davis, Drew (Jennifer) Davis, Mark Davis, Stanzi (Adam) Schalter, Addison (Elliott) Wellbrock, Wolfgang (Beth) Davis, Liz (David) Samad, Harrison (Chelsie) Davis, and Nick (Nana) Davis; her brother Dick (Ava) Butsch; and seventeen great‑grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 11th, at 11:30 a.m., followed by a Memorial Mass at 12:30 p.m. at St. Timothy Church in Union, Kentucky.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or Blood Cancer United Ohio Valley formally The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
