Barbara A Berwanger

Barbara A. Berwanger (nee Brueggeman), 74 years of age, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Brueggeman and Anna Mae Brueggeman.

Barb was the devoted wife of Gene Berwanger. Loving mother of Kevin Berwanger (Elaina), Renee Berwanger Collins (Craig) & Adam Berwanger (Jen).

Proud grandmother of Maya Collins & Alexis Berwanger, as well as Mason Balko, Preston Garoutte & Norah Garoutte whom she loved as her own.

Dear Sister of Tom Brueggeman (Larae), Jim Brueggeman (Beth) & Karen Carter (Rod).

Barb was a servant-hearted Catholic; her faith was the foundation of her life. She was the most loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, always putting others before herself.

Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2026, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Pius X Church in Edgewood, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY.
