Betty A. Harmon, age 75, of Independence, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017 at her residence. She was a retired nurse and a member of St. Barbara’s Parish in Erlanger, KY. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Gatterdam; father, Virgil Gatterdam and sister, Donna Wrobleski. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Bill Harmon; children, Donna Giancola (John), Amie Roberts, Cathie Roberts-Mullins, Tracy Svendson (Steve), Kim Klei (Justin), Crissi Kennedy (Jon) and Amanda Detzel (Austin); 22 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and best friend Carol Woelfle. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 19 at St. Barbara Church beginning at 10:00 AM. Entombment will immediately follow at Floral Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504.
