James Will Owens, 89 years of age of Ft. Wright, KY passed away peacefully Saturday January 13, 2018. James was the loving husband of Zanda Owens (nee Ridener). Brother of Faye Warren. Loving father of Jerry Owens (Georgia), Anita Tichenor (Steve), and Dale Due (Tom). Loving grandpa of John, Jimmy, Andy, Stephanie, Sarah, and Kerri. Loving great grandpa of eleven. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Lula Owens, his brothers Alvin Owens, JP Owens, WD Owens, his sisters Bertie Owens, Regina Owens, Lola Owens and his grand daughter Amy Owens. James was a brakeman with the railroad. He was a man of great Christian Faith,. was devoted to his family and a role model to all that knew him. He loved tending his rose garden throughout his life. James also loved music, both playing and listening. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at MIDDENDORF FUNERAL HOME 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, KY 41017. Service will be Wednesday at 10:00 am. Burial Floral Hills Memorial Garden. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army 1806 Scott Street, Covington, KY 41014.
