Robert Ratermann

March 10, 1925 — March 18, 2018

Robert A. Ratermann 93 years of age passed away peacefully Sunday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He was the loving husband of the late Ruth Laverne Ratermann (nee Merkle) and the late Mary Jo Ratermann (nee Buckholz). Loving father of Deborah Baute (Rob), Darlene Waldron (Frank), Joseph Harmeling, John Harmeling (Rhonda), Daniel Harmeling, and Michael Rice (Bridget). Dear brother of Walter Ratermann (Nancy), and the late Joseph “Bud” Ratermann. Loving grandpa of five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Bob was a Marine WWII Veteran. Known by his friends as “Buck Over Bob”, he was the founder of Latonia Auto Parts and Bob Ratermann Inc. Motor Sales and Salvage Yard. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Middendorf Funeral Home 3312 Madison Pike, Ft. Wright, KY 41017. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 12:05 pm at Mother of God Church. Burial will be at Mother of God Cemetery . Memorials are suggested to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ATTN: Gift Planning 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
