Norma Méndez, 99, of Cincinnati, Ohio, born on November 9, 1918 in New York City, New York and passed away on April 9, 2018 at Mallard Cove Senior Living with her family by her side. 

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro and María, née Blanco, Rodenas, and by her late husband, Dr. Lincoln S. Méndez, of Havana, Cuba.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Norma Roebker and Adriana Méndez; her grandchildren, Tanya Marks, Andrea Roebker, Allison Roebker and Juliana Kleist-Méndez; her great-grandchildren, Madeleine and Trey Marks; her nephew, Kenneth (Becky) Rodenas; great-nephew, Alexander Rodenas, and great-niece, Taylor Mae Rodenas; her sister-in-law, Paula Rodenas, and nephew Jeffrey (Mary) Rodenas, of Long Island, New York.

Norma worked as a bilingual secretary at Procter & Gamble Company. She enjoyed family reunions and visiting friends in Washington, D.C. During her years in Cuba, she and her husband Lincoln danced a mighty rhumba at the Casino Español.  After retirement, she went on many trips by air and by ship. She brought joy and radiance to every member of her family.

Memorial donations are appreciated to Alzheimer's Association and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and/or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Visitation Friday, April 13, 2018 from 4-6 p.m. at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pk., Ft. Wright. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas More College, 333 Thomas More Pkwy, Crestview Hills, KY 41017.
