Iris E. Rottinghaus

Iris E. Rottinghaus, (nee Meyers) 92, of Erlanger, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Iris was born on July 6, 1926 in Covington to the late Harry J. and Josephine Frisch Meyers. She worked as a seamstress in the garment industry for 42 years at Magliano Pants Company. Iris was the life of the party and her greatest joy was caring for her family. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. Iris was very socially active with the Baptist Village, where she resided for the past 10 years. She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Jack) Hoefker of Independence; four grandchildren, Melissa (Hugh) Moore of Ft. Mitchell, Michelle (Jeff) Marksberry of Independence, Monica Hoefker of Florence and Joe (Lindsay) Hoefker of Covington; seven great-grandchildren, Emma Folzenlogen, Sarah Moore, Julia Folzenlogen, Anna Marksberry, Jack Moore, Chloe Marksberry and John Hoefker; and one brother, Leo (Maureen) Meyers of Ft. Wright. Iris also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, Iris was preceded in death by her loving husband Burton Rottinghaus, as well as two brothers, Robert Meyers and Harry Meyers, and two sisters, Marcella Meyers and LaVerne Bohan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 2409 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell, KY. 41017. Visitation will also be at the church on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of service. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.
