Pamela "Pam" Jo (Fleckenstein) Neal, of Edgewood, Kentucky passed away peacefully on 11/1/2018, from ovarian cancer of 27 months duration, at St. Elizabeth Hospice. Pam was born December 16, 1957 in Fort Thomas, Kentucky to Robert Leo Fleckenstein, Sr. and Mary Ann (Plavsic) Fleckenstein.
Pam was a loving and inspiring wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, great-aunt, in-law and friend.
Pam was devoted to her faith and was a member of Mother of God Parish in Covington. She also served as an Oblate for the Benedictine Sisters. She was a retired nurse for St. Elizabeth Hospice.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 35 years, Richard P. Neal; daughter Bethany R. (Shota) Shigemitsu; and son Joseph R. Neal and Madeline Schmidt. She will be dearly missed by her sisters Karen E. (Bernie) Stolz, Robin L. Kelly, Diana L. (Mike) Holthaus, Regina M. (Mervin) Senters, and brother Robert L. (Andrea) Fleckenstein, Jr., Rick Staudigel and in-laws Richard J. and Nancy Neal. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who loved their Aunt Pammy.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mary Ann Fleckenstein; her sister Susan A. Fleckenstein and sister-in-law Barbara A. (Neal) Staudigel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, November 17 at 12:05 p.m. at Mother of God Roman Catholic Church, 19 West 6th St., Covington, KY 41011. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery, in Fort Thomas, KY.
Memorial donations in Pam's memory are appreciated. Please donate in her name to the Benedictine Sisters of St. Walburg Monastery 2500 Amsterdam Rd. Villa Hills, KY 41017 and/or to St. Elizabeth's Hospice in Edgewood, KY.
